The Cabot Company, of Brunswick,
Haine, in order to enlarge their cotton
mill, moved their large' smoke-stack
chimney-seventy-eight feet high, seven
feet nine inohea square at base, and five
feet square at top, containing more than
40,000 bricks, and weighing more than
100 tons, twenty feet, without rollers, or

the pavement on which he was walking
leaping np and striking him on the head.

witnesses of "unimpeachable veracity."
