Profits from these sources, in a company possessed of a capita1 of $200,000, and doing a fair amount of business, would give to the stockholders dividends largely in excess of what were counted on by tho Directora of tho Universal at ibo time of its organization. They have, therefore, dctormined to divido among tho policy-holders of the company a largo part of tho profits accruing from tho sources named, all of which bavo heretofore been divided among tho stockholders. The plan adopted for such division ie aa follows: Every person who may hereafter insure with tho Universal will, for tho purposes of division, he treated as a stockholder to extentef ono annual premium upon hie policy; -id will sham in tho profits of the company to precisely same extent as a stockholder owDjnc an eqnal amount of the oapital stock. This low cost of insur? ance "is worthy of attention. Since its organization, thia company has received in premiums from ils policy-holders the sum of $1.517,000.
