days since. A number of strangers
arrived in the city on Wednesday, when
the gates were closed aud tho citizeus
ordered to romuiu in their houses, on
pain of death. Patrols then searched
every place, and arrested 200 persons,
of whom seventy wero armed with gum
and pistols.
