PREPARATION OF COMPOUND EX?
TRACT BUOHU. Tho componont patt? aro
BUCnu, LOKO LEAF, CU BEBB, JUNIPER
BERRIES.
MODE OF Pur. TA RATION.-Bu chu, in vacuo.
Juniper Horries, by distillation, to form a fino
gin. Cnbobs extracted by displacement with
spirits obt tined from Juniper Berries; very
little sugar is used, and a small proportion of
spirit. It is more palatable than any now in
uso.
Buobn. SB prepared by Druggists, is of-a
dark color, lt is a plaut that emits its fra?
grance; the action of a flame destroys thia,
(its aotivoprinciple.) leaving a dark and glu?
tinous decoction. Mine is the color of ingre?
dients. Tho Buchu in my preparation pre?
dominates; the smallest quantity of the other
ingredients aro added, to prevent fermenta?
tion: upon inspection, it will bo fonnd not to
bo Tinctum, as made in Pharmacopoeia, nor is
it a syrup-and therefore can bo used in CSBSB
whero fever or inflammation oxists. In this,
you havo tho knowledge of the ingredients
and tho mode of preparation.
Hoping that you will favor it with a trial,
and that upon inspection it will meet with
your approbation. With a feeling of con?
