Pugh, against tho Police Department, were, on motion of Alderman Minort, ordered to be pnid without tho usual - reference. BEPORTS OF CITY OFFICERS. Roport of the City Clerk and Clerk of Market for November were presented. The former was referred to the Com? mittee on Ways aud Means, and tho latter to the Committee on Market. REPORTS OF COMMITTEES. Alderman Donny, from the Committee on Aooonnts, to whom was referred the following accounts, reported baok the same, and recommended payment. Adopted. Cooper & Taylor, John Thomas, P. Sarg?nor, John Dial, Colnmbia Gas Company, E. D. Gillmore, R. Banks, D. Epstein^ Total, $1,068.13. Alderman Thompson, from the Com? mittee on Licenses, reported baok the following applications, and recommend ed that the same be granted. Adopted O. P. Bernsen, John Glaze, John M Foster, Mrs. D. H. Kelly, tavern license; Roaonbcrougb & Co., quart license. Alderman Hayne, from the Committee on Market, reported back the report of tho Clerk of tho Market for September and October, as examined and found oorreot. Concurred in. Alderman Thompson, from tho Special Committee appointed to investigate the oharges against tho Chief ? f Police, preferred by A. L. Saunders, reported that the same bad been investigated, and from the evidence adduced, recom? mended that the case be dismissed. On motion, the recommendation con? tained in the report waa adopted. Also, reported that the oharges against Chief of Police, preferred by Wm. Ro? binson, had been investigated, and tbe Committee would respectfully refer the case, with the testimony elicited, for ac? tion of Council. Ou motion, the report was laid over for future consideration. RESOLUTIONS. Alderman Thompson introduced the following resolution, which was adopted: Resolved, That from and after this date the Proceedings of Council be pub? lished in the Daily Union. Alderman Smith presented preamble and resolutions relative to the erection of City Hall and stores on lot owned by the city, oorner of Richardson and Wash? ington streets. On motion of Alderman Thompson, the preamble and resolutions wero re? ferred to the Committees on Ways and Means and Streets jointly, with in? structions to report at the next meeting.
