DlFPICDTiTT IN EDGEFIEIiD-ONE NEGRO KILLED AND THREE OTHERS WOUNDED. We learned yesterday that on Thursday a negro constable, at Edgc?eld Court House, visited the store of Mr. C. A. Oheatham for ' the purposo of making tho arrest of that gentleman. Mr. Oheatham declined to yield to thc au? thority of the negro official, whereupon the latter seized hold of him forcibly. The hold of tho official was soon loosened by Mr. Oheatham, who stabbed him in the neck, the wound resulting iu his immediate death. A number of ucgrocs, who had rushed into tho store for the apparent purpose of assisting tho con? stable, were fired upon by Mr. Arthur Glover, and three of them wounded, to what extent not stated. Tho war seems to have bean commenced iu earnest in South Carolina, a- livoly domaud for buck-shot and powdor having sprung up in Augusta within the past week, scarcely a wagon returning home without a fnil supply of war material.
