the "colored folks" not to take offence
at the term "negro." And why? Be?
cause he, unlike the uneducated negro,
has the sense to know that it is the
legitimate term for the African. Thc

documont-did not speak once of "color?
ed folks," but in every case used the
term "negro" in speaking of his African
fellow-citizens.
There is a man in West Virginia of
