in a descriptive vein: "Sacramento is

While sitting in the school one day,
It reaohed unto thc floor;
When naughty children fond of play,
Fast tied it to the door.
The teacher just theu coming in
To hear his scholars spell,
Yanked poor Ki-Chow up by the roots
With a demoniac yell.
And when the children gathered round,
The teacher to him said,
Dehold the "tale-bearer's" sad fate
In Ki-Chow there, stone dead.
