After going on board the ferry-boat, Borne one inquired of Mike, "Is your luggage aboard?" "Yes," answered he. "Where is it?" "Well, here I stand-in the centre of it!" said Mike, which was an accurate statement of fact. A paper is puplished in the Cherokee Nation, one page of which is printed in what is supposed to be the Indian tongue. A servant girl, who was employed to pickle her master's cabbages, took the opportunity to cabbage her master's pickles. She is tho snme woman who was happy and careless when she was young, and cappy and hairless when she was old.
