tional Hank notes; second, cancels $45.

of greenbacks; third, takes $25,000,000
from the States having an excess, aud
distributes it West and South, but not
until ofter the $95,000,000 have been
issued. The fourth section allows a bauk
in a State having au excess to removo to
a Stato in deficiency, taking with it its
capital, circulation, kc. An amendment,
forbidding cancellation of greenbacks,
was adopted-92 to 44. The bill finally,
after thorejectiou of many amendments,
passed-98 to 8, and goes to the Senate.

cially between Butler, of Massachusetts,
