A oue-armed soldier in Dodge County,
Wisconsin, who hud a wooden arm,
which he didn't use, hearing that all the
census-takers appointed for the State by
the United States Marshal were one
armed soldiers, sent the fiue wooden arm
tn the Matshal, Geueral Hamilton, at
Milwaukee, to be presented to some one

to find, on examination, that all the ap?
pointees were able-bodied radicals, who
