"Would such a course be expedient or
proper?"
"For God sake," he interrupted, "do
not speak of expediency or propriety.
It is the lost request you can over grant
me. On the day which witnesses your
marriage, I leavo America forever. I
don't think I am loug for this world,
and I would like my hones to test in my
native land.. So I return there to die."
"Do not talk so-do not," said Juliet,
almost sobbing; "I cannot bear to hear

years of happiness."

came up to him, with outstretched arms.

penheim," said Cornelia, in tho sumo low
tono of concentrated passion, "Iwitt not.

sued her travels, having only stoppet
