memorial requesting the Land Commis?
sion to provide homesteads for recently
enslaved people. Edmunds reported a
bill enforcing the fifteenth amendment.
Georgia was resumed, when Fowler pro?
ceeded to read a written speech.
In the Senate, Chandler offered an
amendment to the corruption resolution,
direoting the Committee on the Judiciary
to enquire whether the rebels had at?
tempted to use corrupt influences to fie
care votes on the Georgia bill. Terry
objected and the resolution went over.
