of Charleston, on Monday eveniug,
March 28, composed of representatives
from tho various Sunday Schools, of all
denominations iu that city, the following
resolutions were unanimously adopted:
Resolved, That a convention of Sun?
day school supcriutoudeuts, teachers and
friends in the State of South Carolina be
held in this city on Thursday, Friday
and Saturday, tho 12th. 13th and 14th of
May next, for tho purpose of devising
ways aud means for tbe advuncemeut of
tho Sunday school canso throughout the
Stato, to confur together relative to the
best modes of conducting Sunday
schools and iucrcasing their usefulness.
Resolved, That invitatious bo extended
to ull persons interested in the cause of
Sunday schools, in evory part of the
State, to attend said convention, and
that arrangements be. mudo for their en?
tertainment in this city, aud transporta?
tion if possible.
