iron bridges built by W. Bailman, of
Baltimore, oyer the North-west and
North-east branches of tho Capo Fear
Uiver, for the purpose of connecting all
tho railroad lines centreing hero, have
bofft completed, and tho first train, with
a large party of excursionists, passed over
to-day. The completion of this great
work greatly facilitates railroad travel,
enabling passengers and freight to go
through without delay. The entire con?
nection is now complete, except a milo
milo and a half branch track, on the
Wilmington and Manchester Road,
which will bo finished in about ten days.

of paying the six months' interest on
