the Chicago Spraguo, who has been

millionaire who goes for the diffusion of
money with knowledge; the Chicago
Sprague ia a millionaire who preferred
his money to matrimony, and who prays
after this fashion : "o, Lord boo art in
heaven bless our 2 harts and soles." It
is possible that the Bhode Island Sprague
has never heard of the Chicago Sprague,
bot one of his letters would be some?
thing to have in tho list of the Washing?
ton Globe.
Sprague, of Chicago, is a sort of criti?
cal visitation sent to us to show us in
how many and what miraculous ways
certain English words may be spelled.
He would pass for a pretty good jokist
of the orthographical school, and some
of his efforts are without parallel. He
spells the word wild thus "+ld." This
sublime reliance on the sound of the first
letter would have broken tipo heart of
Artemus.
