work of completing the Dine Ridge Railroad,
in South Caroliua, from Anderson, South Carolina,
to Knoxville, Tennessee -a distance of one hun?
dred and fifty-two miles to build.
The Executive Committee of the Board of Direc?
tors is prepared to outer into negotiations with
responsible persons, who may desire to undertake
the work.
Payments will be made in first mortgage (7i
per cent, currency bonds of tho Company, secured
by the guarantee, of tho State of South Carolina,
Tor the punctual payment of both principal and
interest. The mortgage covers unencumbered
property of the Company, which cost three atid a
quarter millions of dollars in gold, and embraces
fifty milos of road completo and in running order.
