of the suicided woman from Charleston is
C. P. Doyle, a milliner.
NEW ORLEANS, May 10.-The balance of
the indictments against Auditor "Wickliffe
were this morning dismissed by the First
Distriot Conrt. A mutual injunction was
obtained by Auditor Wickliffe, and Dclas
size, Gov. Warmouth's appointee. This
will leave the auditor's office still without an
incumbent.
A duel was fought yesterday, between a
Spaniard and a Cuban, growing out of cries
of "death to the Spaniards," in tho recent
procession of Cubans and their sympa?
thizers. The Cuban was badly -wounded; j
the Spaniard unhurt. A general challenge
is promulgated from the same Spaniard, to
all who indulged in the crios. Another simi?
lar duel is reported already arranged.
