The Illinois Press Association, numbering
about 120 gentlemen, with the same number
of ladies, are making an excursion to Mont?
gomery, Ala., to partake of the hospitalities
of that oity.
A blade out in the Western wilds writes
home: "The report of my marriage is
groundless, and I shall continue to live on
the European plan."
Freshets in Baltimore have revealed a
large robbers' retreat, 100 feet from the
mouth of a culvert. Various stolen articles
were found.
An able-bodied negro died of starvation
at Columbus, Qa., recently, tho evidence at
the inquest showing that he starved rather
than work.
