AMONG CI?TTVDREN.-Tho Augusta Chronicle
and Sentinel learns from n gentleman, who
lives near the village, that a fatal epidemic
is now prevailing in Saudersville, and
which has, so far, bullied tho skill of thc
medical fraternity there. From Suudny
morning to Tuesday evening, it Bays, wo
learn that there were seven deaths in the
village, all children. The doctors say that
the disenso is au inflammation of tho mem?
brane covoring tho brain, tho symptoms re?
sembling very much those observed in con?
gestive chills. Tho attack usually begins
with a feeling of dull pain or numbness in
the arms and lower limbs, and in a few
hours tho disease runs its course. lu uoarly
every case death has ensued rapidly.
