He also announces that as soon as the militia is organized, under the new law'jnst passed by the Legislature, he shall declare martial law in those Coun? ties of Western Tennessee, wherein the marauders are operating, and take mea? sures to put an end to their work at once. Two young women, named Mary Ann Kolly and Mary Esther, were burned to death, at New Orleans, lost Sunday, by their clothes taking fire from au explosion that occurred while one of them was filling a lighted lamp with petroleum.
