BRANDT "EXPERTS" AT FAUI/T.-At a re?
cent trial of a revenue cnao in New York,
skillful experts swore that some specimens
of brandy which wore submitted to them
were not only genuine, but wero worth
twelve dollars a gallon in gold, when it was
afterwards proved that they were manu?
factured in Brooklyn, and were not brandy
at all.
From statistics published in the New
York papers it appears that there aro nearly
13,000 opium eaters in that metropolis,
many of whom are ladies residing iu "np
