TALLAHASSE, FLA., November 10.
Lieut. Gov. Gleason and Secretary
Alden- occupy rooms at the City
Hotel, across the strcot from the
Capitol. Yesterday, at the hotel,
Adjutant-General Stake demanded a
paper from' Secretary Alden, relating
to his appointment as Adjutant,
which Alden refused; when a pistol
was presented to enforce the demand.
Chief Justice Randall, who was pre?
sent, with others, interfered and
succeeded in arresting a difficulty.
Tho Glenson party claim that Reed
caused the destruction of arm?, to
prevent them being used to aid in his
conviction; while the other side say
Gleason's party did it to add to
Reed's embarrassments.
