last cool snap, a houao in Oordesvillc,
occupied by Mr. Edward Harleston,
sodden tally took fire and was entirely
consumed. The fire was commuai
ted to the chimney jamb, and the
smell of smoke awoke the family, but
a careful searoh failed to discover the
cause. A few hours later they were
again awakened by the fire, which
had gained such headway that'they
were barely able to esoape, losing
