~ RESISTING PROVIDENCE.
"T IFE INSURANCE enables a man to
I J put himself in harmony with Di?
vine Providence. Providcuoo has brought
the institution into being to bless tho
race. Ho who refuses it, distrusts and
despises Providence and invites its ven
gcancG upon himself and his household.
Wo know ot no fallacy so transparent, no
delusion more groundless, than that
which makes the practice of Lifo Insurance
appear as an attempt to controvert tho
Divine will."
Thousands of widows and orphans live
to attest tho divine bencficouco of LIFE
INSURANCE. Without its protecting
tegis, many of thom would, to-day, bo beg?
gars upon the streets, or occupants of
poor-housos and penitentiaries. No man
can foretell what will be his circumstances
at the time of bia death. Tho rich man of
to-day dies tho pauper of to-morrow, and
tho family, delicately roared, become tho
unprepared victims of dire Want, with her
train of countless evils. Such a result ii
impossible, with a policy of Lifa Insurance,
It, indeed, offers the only absolutely soft
investment which can be made for thc
benefit of ono's family and of his own old
ago. AU other investments may result in
loss or ruin. If all would insure, who car
calculate tho immense suffering and crime
which the world would be spared!
