William E. Marsh, of that town, has been missing and unheard of since 1862. He suddenly appeared, with? out warning, last wc-o?, to find that his brother William, having been divorced from his former wife, had married'William's supposed widow a year or more ago. There are 600 immense trees in the Mariposa region of California, of which the largest is 102 feet in cir? cumference. The average height of these trees is about 250 feet, and many of them approaching (but only three or four exceed) 100 feet in cir? cumference. Their age is caloulated to bo about 1,000 years. One cattle ranche in Texas is fifty miles in extent-the number of head is 100,000, and 20,000 are sent to market every year, enough to supply the New York market six weeks.
