It is with deep sadness that we are called to record the death of Mr. D. B. McCreight, who is so well known to our renders and the press as the editor of the Winusboro News and Fairfield Herald. At Pittsburg, last Sunday, Charles Walters, a lad of thirteen, was drowned in the Alleghauy River. A youn<v man, Ballou, iu attempting to resouti him, was also drowned. Prentice thinks if a young lady has 1,000 acres of valuable land, the young men aro apt to conclude that they ure sufficient ground for attachment. "Have you 'Blasted Hopes?'
