found no difficulty in detecting
poison in the stomaoh of the de?
ceased, and acknowledged that he had
observed symptoms which ho at?

had administered antidotes, he re?
plied: "No, for their presence in the
stomach would have masked the
presence of the poison, which could
not, therefore, havo been proved at j
