At Home, near Marietta, Go., Oct. 10.
A. J. Roberts & Co., Atlanta, Ga.
Gentlemen: I am well pleased with the
result of tho tiso of tho "Double Relined
Poudrette" on my crops. Itricdit on both
corn and cotton, "and am satisfied wherever
it was applied the yield was moro than
double what it would havo been without it.
I regret exceedingly my not using it moro
extensively the present year, but will try
to mako up my loss by purchasing a larger
quantity next spring. I regard it as the
cheapest, most reliable, and easiest man?
aged fertilizer within my knowledge, and
cheerfully recommend it 'as I havo tried it
thoroughly) to the farmers of this section,
and particularly to those planting cotton,
from the fact of its causing 'it to maturo
from ten days to two weeks earlier than it
would without tho use of the Poudretto. I
also used it on my garden, and found it ol
much benelit to all kinds of plants. Very
respectfully, Ac. G. S. OGLESBY.
Extract from a lotter received from Prof.
Martin, of Hampden. Sidney College,

I am already satisfied that it is the cheap

Sir: Tho Double Refined Poudretto ]
bought for two other parties in connectioi
with myself-ono of them used it on cottot
and com, and thinks it answered finely
the other put it on cotton, on very poo:
ground, and thinks it doubled bis crop,
used it on corn. It answered finely, an<
was thought by tho band that cultivate!
thc crop to bo fully equal to Rhode's Supe
Phosphate. I also used it on about ai
acre of cotton, and I am clearly of opinioi
that it is tho best and cheapest fertilize
in uso, and I expect to order soveral ton
this winter. Yours, verv respectfully,
ISAAC POWELL.
Ellaville, Schley Co., Ga., Oct. 4, 1867.
Tho Doublo Refined Poudretto, pui
chased of you last spring, I think, in
creased my crop of cotton 150 pounds pe

Dear Sir: I used tho Double Retim

half. I consider it an excellent manor

Mr. James R. Dey.
.Sir: 1 applied tho Doublo Refined Poi
dretto by itself, and in combination wil
other fertilizers, on cotton, and am pleasf
with it; so much so that it is my presei
intention to purchaeo a larger supplv
you tho next year to apply to my cottt
crop. Yours very respectfully,

Sir: In reply to your Inquiry of the r
suits of our experience in tho uso of yo
improved Poudrette-purchased of you f
this year's c otton crop-we would beg lea
to say that tho present season has bei
one quite unfavorable to tho action of i
fertilizers.
Several kinds of manures wero used
ns, with tho exception of your Poudretl
with little or no effect to tho crop.
Where the Pondrette was used, it ga
us near half a halo moro per aero, ami
caused tin cotton to open much earlier;
ami wo would, therefore, recommend thc
same as a concentrated manure for tho
growth of cotton, as well as improvement
to the soil. Yours, verv respectfully,
