WASHINGTON, February 8.-The Senate was not in session to-day. In the House, the entire day was devoted to speeches. The Reconstruction Committee had -a stormy session, but did no? thing pointed. This evening's Repress says the feeling among the majority of the Committee is undoubtedly in favor of impeachment, and there is reason to believe that a resolution to this effect will shortly be reported to tho House. Before adjournment to-day, the Committee agreed to report a bill to remove the political disabilities im? posed by the Reconstruction Acts upon Gov. Holden, of North Caro? lina, Gov. Orr, of South Carolina, and Gen. Longstreet, of the lute Confed?rate army. It is reported that Mr. Brooks moved to add the name of Gen. Beauregard, but tho Committee refused to include him. S. M.
