NEW HAVEN, January 80.-The Democratic State Convention has nominated a ticket, headed by Eng? lish. The resolutions endorse Presi? dent Johnson. The British Minister has arrived in Washington. MILLEDOEVILLE, January 30.-Gov. Jenkins has served notices on Gen. Buger, Cap ts. Rockwell and Wheaton, that he files a bill in the Supreme Court, ou the 7th of Fobruaiy, en? joining the use of money belonging to the State of Georgia. The Reconstruction Conventions. CHARLESTON, January 30.-The Convention to-day ejected the police sent by order of the post commander to preserve order, and appointed a committee to wait on Gen. Glitz and ascertain the cause of his action. The discussion concerning contracts based on slaves was postponed. An ordinance securing the per diem at $11, in State currency, was adopted. Gen. Cunby hos inst meted the Trea? surer of the State to forward funds. Several propositions were introduced, petitioning Congress to loan from one ?to three millions to the State, for the relief of the people, and to enable Ithe planters to recuperate and pay leash wages. A proposition was also "introduced to out lands offered for ale into small tracts, permitting the boor to purchase on credit from the (State. ATLANTA, January 30.-In the Con? vention, a resolution was introduced, asking Congress to loan the destitute planters of the South $30,000,000, to be secured by mortgage. Seven sec? tions of the bill of rights wcro adopted. There is great activity in radical political circles, and Country meet? ings.to nominate candidates for Go? vernor, nuder the new Constitution, are being held in this section of Georgia. There are rumors that Gen. Meade has asked to be relieved. RICHMOND, January 30.-The Con? vention adopted four seotions of the Finance Committee's report; ono sec? tion was amended so as to prohibit the payment hereafter of any part of Jthe State or municipal debt incurred flin aid of the rebellion. During the .doption of this amendment the pithets "cowardly and ungentle ftnenly," wero exchanged between a j ?conservative and republican member, "ind the latter, when leaving the hall few moments afterwards, was fol owod by his antagonist.
