At last I was worked into an agony of curiosity, and trembled with some great' purpose, which should bring before me the object of my thoughts, mid of the two sisters' continued conversation. In what this would have euded, it is impossible for me at this time to say, had I not heard, one morning, ns I entered thc breakfast room, the startling words from Nettie: "'And so she is coming at last. My i long standing passion, of nearly two j weeks' duration, for Nettie and Car- I rie, was forgotten in an instant, and j my whole mind was absorbed in j making the best figure possible be fore this new queen. With this idea, ! I began to look into my wardrobe. I hod come down with sufficient clothes to answer all ordinary purposes, in? cluding, of course, Nettie and Carrie; but the now goddess was certainly worthy of a new rig ou my part, and certainly should have it. This resolu? tion was made within fifteen minutes after heaving the announcement of her intended coming; and before two hours had gone by, I was whizzing on my way to town, to carry out that resolve. Gentlemen: I am well pleased with the result of the uso of the "'Doublo Refined Poudretto" on my crops. I tried it on boti corn and cotton, and am satisfied wherever it was applied the yield was more than double what it would have beon without it. I regret exceedingly my not using it more extensively tho present year, but will try to make up my loss by purchasing a larger quantity next spring. Sir: Tiie Double Refined Poudretto I bought for two other parties in connection with myself-ono of tliem used it on cotton and corn, and thinks it answered finely; tho other put it on cotton, on very poor ground, and thinks it doubled his crop. I j used it on corn. It answered finely, and wan thought hy thc hand that cultivated : thc crop to bo folly equal to Rhode's Super ' Phosphate. I also used it on about an acre of cotton, and I am clearly of opinion that it is the beet and cheapest fertilizer in use. and I expect to order several tons this winter. Yours, verv respectfully. Where tho roudrette was used, it gave us near half a halo moro per acre, and caused thc cotton to open much earlier; ami would, therefore, recommend thc samo as a concentrated manure for thc growth of cotton, aa well as improvement to tho noil.
