Sir: The Doublo Refined Poudretto I bought for two other partios in connection with myself-ono of them usod it on cotton and corn, and thinks it answered finely; tho other put it on cotton, on very poor ground, and thinks it doublcddiis crop. I used it on corn. It answered finely, and was thought by the hand that cultivated the crop to be fully equal to Rhode's Super Phosphate. I also used it on about an acre of cotton, and I am clearly of opinion that it is tho best aud cheapest fertilizer in uso, and I expect to order several tous this wintor. Dey, Esq. ?Hr: In reply to your Inquiry of the re? sults of our experience in the uso of your improved Poudretto-purchased of yon for this year's cotton crop-wo would beg lcavo to say that tho present season has been one quito unfavorable to tho action of ali fertilizers. Several kinds of manures wcro used by us, with tho exception of your Pondrette, with little or no effect to tho crop. Where tho Poudretto was used, it gavo us near half a bale moro per acre, and caused the cotton to open much earlier; and we would, therefore, recommend the sumo as a concentrated manure for the growth of cotton, ns well as improvement to tho soil.
