Egypt, dated January 13, to the New
York Herald, says:
"Despatches received here from tho
British expeditionary force in Abys?
sinia, contain advices of a re-assuring
and more cheerful character. The
native chief of Tigre, who had mus?
tered a largo foroo, the movements c!

lish camp at Senafe, aud caused a for?

march, is now reported friendly.
