ATLANTA, December 23.-In the Convention, the proceedings were exceedingly stormy, the Finance Committee having failed to secure a loan to pay their expenses, and re? ported ai ordinance to authorize further effort, which was defeated, on the ground that nothing could be jdone. Tho report of the Comuvis jsioner sent to Milledgeville to draw ($10,000 from the State Treasury, was tread. It says that he showed the State Treasurer the erdinanco of the Convention with Gen. Pope's autho? rization and direction endorsed, but tho Treasurer said he must decline paying out any money on such au? thority, being sworn to obey the con? stitution and laws of Georgia, and was bound only to pay warrants signed ?y the Governor of the State. During the debate that ensued, ono delegate said the Treasurer had snubbed the Convention. Tho negro Bradley said the sergeant-at-arms should be sent, with a file of sol? diers, to bring that impudent fellow (tho Treasurer) to the bar of the Convention. Another negro said, what did they bring us here for? Great confusion occurred. Ad? journed to the 8th of January next.
