RICHMOND, VA., Deoember 9.-The
Convention this morning was visited
by Governors Pierpoint, of Virginia,
and Smythe,- of New Hampshire.
Both addressed the Convention, hop?
ing that a good and wise Constitu?
tion will be framed, which would
make the State happy and prosper?
ous. Smythe urged that the mem?
bers bear with the prejudices of men
and with each other, and thought
that when tho passions of the present
have cooled, all will be well. A vote
of thanks to these gentlemen was
adopted. The Convention went into
consideration of the committee's re?
port, of eight dollars per diem for
members. Amendments putting it at
six and seven dollars, were defeated
by a decided majority.

end that the said James M. Flynn may be
brought to trial and condign painehmeut
for the eaid murder, do hereby offer a re?

Flynn, it ia said, went from Lancaster
Diatriot, where he haa relations. He is
about thirty-five years of age, haa a ruddy
complexion, ia five feet eight or nine
inohea high, and wore black whiskers.
The fingers on tho left hand, except tho
thumb and little finger, are gone.
