Cable Despatches. . LONDON, October 21.-The Italian situation is better. It is said that Italy satisfies the French demands. The transportation of troops to Tou? lon has been stopped, and those ready to sail, have been disembarked. French war preparations have been countermanded. Gen. Gialdini suc? ceeds Batazzi as Italian Prime Minis? ter, and will form a new Cabinet, whoso policy will be anti-revolu? tionary. BOMB, October 21.-The French Minister at Borne has informed the Pope, in the name of Napoleon, that whatever might happen, the aid of France to maintain the Pope's tem? poral power, would not fail. The garrison at Borne has been reinforc? ed. Tho town of Orto was re-cap? tured from the Garibaldians. It is reported that Garibaldi has esoaped from Caprera, and is now in Italy. La France says it is certain, in any event, France will arrive at Borne before Italy. It is stated that tho Italian Government declares itself powerless to arrest bands of invaders, or to protect the Holy See. LONDON, Ootober 22.-Tho Boyal Bank of Liverpool has stopped; debts ?4,500,000 sterling. It is thought tho bank will resume. The Italian people, suspecting the new ministry to be formed in Napo? leon's interest, are pouring in peti? tions, protesting against the deser? tion ol the national cause by the Government. Reports from the Papal States are conflicting, xeiegrams from Florence represent that Menotti Garibaldi not only maintains his positions, but is hourly gaining strength. Despatches from Borne represent that Menotti, with all his followers, had fled from the Papal dominions, and abandoned the attempt on Borne. PARIS, October 22-Noon.-The Moniteur announces, definitely, that the expedition to Italy has been coutermanded, because Italy pledges observance of the treaty. Newt Item?.
