C?ble Dcspntchon. MANCHESTER, September 20.--A strong police force, while taking ?he Fenians Kelly and Deasy to the depot, were attacked by a mob and, the prisoners rescued. One police? man was killed and several injured. Many *! of^the rioters wore seriously injured. LATER.-Another policeman is dead. Kelly is still at large. -. A Row In th? Camp. RALEIGH, September 20.-The Ra? leigh Jicgisler, edited by Daniel R. Goodloc, the recognized organ of the Republican party of this State, de? nounces the recent radical conven? tion, and ia bitter, seathing terms excommunicates Holden and his co? adjutors. The party is certainly hopelessly divided. The constitu? tional union men are to hold an immense muss mooting on next Fri? day, the 27th. All of the most in? fluential prominent citizens signed the call. Disasters. NEW YORK, September 20.-The Hudson River steamboats "Dean Richmond" and "C. Vanderbilt" col? lided near Roundout, nt 1 o'clock, this morning. Tho Richmond sunk in an hour; the Vanderbilt was little injured. None lost. CHATTANOOGA, September 20.-The Crutohfield House was totally de? stroyed by fire at G o'clock to-night. The fire was caused by the breaking of a number of kerosene lamps in the oil room. Tho flames caught the oil in the barrels, flashed up and spread all over the house in ten minutes. Littlo property saved except in tho lower stories. The fire originated in a wooden addition and ascended, catching the upper story of tho brick part. There were several narrow escapes but no lives lost. Loss about 3150,000, insured for ?45,000. \<-ivs Items. AUGUSTA, Septemcer 20.-General Pope has ordered an election to* be held in Georgia, commencing Tues? day, 20th October, and continuing three days, at which registered voters may vote for convention or against convention; also for delegates to constitute Baid convention, in case a majority of votes so decided. The senatorial districts as established by tho State laws are adopted for the ? purposes of representation. Tho con? vention to consist of 1G9 delegates. The instructions are generally the same as those issued for the election in Alabama. NORTH PLATTE, via Omaha, Sep? tember 19.-Tho commission held a council with Spotted Tail, Turkey Leg and other chiefs, to-day. The Indian ultimatum is tho withdrawal of the troops from the Powder River country and the abandonment of Smoky Hill and the Pacific Railroad. They also demand guns, ammunition and presents. The commission will reply to-morrow. War seems inevi? table. WASHINGTON, September 20.-She? ridan and Sickles are here. Han? cock leaves in a few days for St. Louis. Tho Cabinet meeting lasted two hours. Grant was absent. Internal rovenuo receipts, to-day, $260,000. The Bureau of Indian Affairs has received nothing confirmatory of the extraordinary demand of tho Indians on the North Platte. YOUNO, freedman, upon the person of George Dial, freedman, and that the said YOUNG has lied from justice. Now know ye that I, said JAMES L.
