meetiug at Bolton. He says:

no how, and yon had better bc in
the field picking but what little you
have, than hero trying to learn poli?
tics.'"
There ?B a youth who, every time
he wishes to get a glimpse of his
sweetheart, cries "Fire!" directly
under her window. In the alarm of
the moment, she- plunges her head
out of tho window, and inquires,
"Whore?" When he poetically slaps
himself on the bosom, and exclaims:
"'Ere, my Carolina!" We think a
bucket of ice-cold water would put
out that fire.
