trian steamer Elizabeth has orders to

to bring the Austrian and Mexican
Imperialist officers and troops here.
She will return immediately. Col.
Sudry and other officers-of the Vera
Cruz garrison, who arrived in Mobile
by the Tabasco, have come here.
WASHINGTON, July 6.-The total
registration in Alexandria is 2,602
black majority 205; challenged, 196;

$788,000. The Secretary of the
Treasury held for National Banks and

case dosed to-day. Bradley, jr.,
made the opening speech for the do
? fence. He reviewed the testimony
of the prosecution, to show the pri?
soner's presence on the 14th of
April; and said he could provo that
most of the witnesses were either in?
famous or mistaken ; he would prove
that Surratt was not within 400 miles
of Washington on the day of tho as?
sassination; and further, that it was
neither Booth, Surratt nor Atzerodt
who were in front of the theatre that
uight; but that he would produce tho
three men referred to on the stand,
and would produce the mau who
looked into Lincoln's carriage, and
the man who^called the time, as well
as the individual described as the
villainous-looking mau. In closing
his remarks, Bradley said he would
also produce the original agreement
between the assassins, with their
genuine signatures attached, and that
neither the nam o of Mrs. Surratt nor
John Surratt would appear upon that
paper.

bodv of Presalv Hope, (freedman,) by one
LAWRENCE ?WYGERT, (freedman,) in
tho District of Lexington, on the 5th day
of June, 1867, and that tho said Lawrence
Swygcrt has tied from justice:
Now, know ye, that I, tho said JAMES
L. ORR, Governor aa aforesaid, to tho
end that the said Lawrence Swygert
may bo brought to trial and to condign
punishment, do offer % reward of TWO
HUNDRED DOLLARS for the arrest
and safo delivery of the said Lawrence
Swvgert in tho jail at Lexington, or in a
jail" of either of tho adjoining Districts.
Said Swygert is thirty-seven years of
age, live feet ten or eleven inches high,
and weighs about 175 pounds. He baa a
dark complexion, is somewhat round
shouldered, rather bony, ia loft-handed,
and supposed to have ou home-made cot?
ton clothing.
