BOSTON STTLTJ ENGAGED TN THE] SLAVE TRADE.-The following item appears in tho Albany Journal: A gsntleman from near Columbia, S. C., a prominent leader during the war, purchased, a few weeks ago, in Cuba, where he has a plantation, ono of his former slaves, who had been landed and sold by Boston skippers. The honorary degree of Mistress of English Literature was conferred on Miss Augusta J.
