rentod a stall in the livery stable,
and talks about running for mayor.
A young officer, in tho House of
Commons, wore tremendous mous?
taches, on which one of the members
said, "My dear fellow, now that
tho war is over, why don't you put
your moustaches on the peace esta?
blishment?" "Had you not botter
put your tongue on the civil list?"
was the prompt and haughty retort.
