UPPER GEORGIA.-Tho Borne Cou?
rier states that the wheat throughout
Upper Georgia looks finely. In
some localities the fiy has injured
it, and in others some rust upon the
blades is reported, but upon the
whole, the prospect for a good crop
is fair. Corn is not doing so well.
In many localities thero is a bad
"stand," and thc cotton planted is
likely to be an almost entire failure.
The cold, dry weather, so favorable
to wheat, is ruinous to cotton and
not good for corn. It is said that
some farmers are ploughing up their
cotton and planting corn iu its place.
