WASHINGTON, April 13.-Tho Court
took a motion for leave to Ale the
Georgia bill for consideration with?
out argument. Chase said if the
Court wished to hear the argument,
ho would notify counsel. There was
an interesting argument yesterday on
adjournment. A poi \ was made
that a special session called by the
President cannot legally adjourn
without his consent, us it would be
dispersion. The difficulty lies in
keeping a quorum together, without
which the Senate cannot work nor
adjourn sine die. If a quorum is
present on Tuesday, the session will
probably be^ prolonged; if not, the
Chairman will adjourn the Senate
under yesterday's action. Several
radical Senators announced, that

sist, like Johnson, in nominating
