WASHINGTON, November 20.-A public
meeting of whites and blacks was held
here last evening, to consider tho suffrage
question. The meeting was addressed by
Senator Harlan and other orators, includ?
ing one black man. Harlan expressed tho
belief that ii Congress was petitioned for
impartial suffrage, there would bo no diffi?
culties in thc passage of a law for that
purpose.
BALTIMORE, November 20.-The Presi?
dent, arrived this morning, to attend the
Maso nie display. He is the guest of Gov.
Swann.
BALTIMORE, November 20.-The Masonic
display in this city to-day was grand and
imposing. Several visiting delegations par?
ticipated in the ceremonies. President
Johnson, in full regalia, appeared on tlie
^ portico in front of the residence of Gov.
Swann, and reviewed the procession. Ho
afterwards, accompanied by Gov. Swann,
proceeded to where the corner-stone of tho
new Masonic temple was being laid, and
took a position on the grand stand. It is
estimated that 5,000 Masons were in the
lim?.
ALBANY, N. Y., November 20.-The Wo?
man's Rights Convention met here this
morning. Lucy Stone, Mrs. Horton, Par?
ker, Pillsbury and Fred. Douglass were
prominent delegates. The usual resolu?
