AMOST DIABOLICAL MURDER was
co-mmRted near the town of Chester,
S. C., on the night of the 22d Jury, 1866,
upon the body of niv brother, ALEXAN?
DER D. WALK*ER. Two of the murderers
(negroes) have been arrestad. The third,
a white man, known as BILL MORRIS,
alias CHAS. DEREM, alia* WYLIE MOR?
RIS, is still at large, and is described as
follows: Tall, spare-made man; grey eyes,
of a peculiar look; short, thick nose; low
forehead; round, lean face; somewhat
hump-shouldered; black hair, with a few
grev hairs; about thirty-seven years old;
weighs about 140 pounds; spoaks slowly,
and, when speaking, twists his mouth to
tho right side; heavy, dark beard; has
been wounded, as well as can be recol?
lected, in the right arro, near the elbow;
with small and bony arms; wore dark coat
aud dark linen pants. Tho above murderer
is a notorious scoundrel, and has recently,
in connection with a band of negroes, been
engaged in varions other bloody outrages.
Tlie above reward will be paid for hi*
arrest, or for any information that will lead
to his apprehension.
