and ironing rooms, smoke-house, dairy, dry
well twenty feet deep, bricked and cement
ad from the bottom, with brick house over
it; barns, stables, cow-houses and every
other necessary out-building, all in good
repair; also, a cistern containing twelve
thousand gallons, with unfailing water
supply, and a bold spring of cold water
near the residence.
The orchards contain more than a thou?
sand trees of the finest varieties of peaches,
apples, pears and plums, and there are a
number of flourishing arbors of grapes,
including the Isabella, Catawba, Bland?,
Madeira and Scuppernong, OB the place;
also, a fine stock of strawberries, raspber?
ries and other small fruits.
The ornamental grounds about the house
are extensivo and beautifully laid out, and
are profusely supplied with rare and beau?
tiful evergreens, hedges, roses and shrub?
bery and other choice plants.
Altogether, the place presents very supe?
rior advantages for a pleasant, healthful
and convenient residence, and such an one
as is seldom offered in the market.

RIS, is still at large, and is described as
follows: Tall, Bpare-madc mau; groy nyes,
of a peculiar look; short, thick nose;-low
forehead; round, kan fae?*; somewhat
hump-shouldered; black hair, with a few
, grey hairs; about thirty-seven years* old;
weighs about 140 pounds; speaks slowly,
and, when speaking, twists his mouth to
tho right Bide; heavy, dark beard; has
been wounded, as well as can bu recol?
lected, in tho right arm, near the elbow;
with small and bony arms; wore dark coat
and dark linen pants. The above murderer
is a notorious scoundrel j and has recently,
in connection with a bando? negroes' been
engaged in various other bloody outrages.
The above reward will be paid for his
arrest, or for any information that will lead
to his apprehension.
