from Europe to-day, bringing advices of a
(leoline in cotton of three farthings.
From Mexico.
NEW ORLEANS, April 4.-Havana dates to
the 29th and late dates from Mexico have
been received.
Gen. Almonte had accepted a mission to
France.
A new campaign is to bo organized in
Sinaloa against Colona, who was besieging
Masaatonpolico about the men who caused
the assault on the Belgian Envoys.
Cortina has joined Gen. Carite, at Cu??
dela Victoria, acknowledging the latter as
a military superior.
Tampico has been reinforced, and the
garrison will soon he attacked.
SAN FRANCISCO, April 4. -Imperial Con?
sul Guilon has received official news from
Guerro, Mexico, b> March 10.

Gen. Corona was defeated by the Imperial
Gen. Vivasco, with thc loss*of sixty-three
killed.
. Porfirio Diaz, the Liberal general, met a
body of Imperial troops under Col. Aceval,
at Llano Grande, and Diaz was defeated
with loss and 100 of his men taken prison?
ers.
The news much elated the Imperial gar?
rison at Acapulco.
The Liberal Gen. Alvarez is said to have
2,000 men.
