MOBILE, December 1.-The sales of cotton to-day were 1,000 bales-middling uplands, 47@4Sc. Sales of thc week, 2,200 bales; receipts, 11,320; exports, 5.382; stock on hand, 66,990. Gold 48@50. CHARLESTON, December 2.-Sales of cot? ton small. Factors are stiffer in their asking prices, but buyers are not willing to submit to any advance. Wc. therefore, continue former quotations: 45@46c. for middling; 47c. for strict middling, and 48c. for good middling. SAVANNAH, December 1.-At the close of our last weekly review, we quoted mid? dling cotton at 47(ri;4Sc. Since then, the market has fluctuated from day to day, and no regular rate has existed. The small stock placed on sale enabled holders to demand tho full rate, at which prices tho sales were made. On Wednesday, later intelligence from Europe showed that tho Liverpool market had experienced a decline, which induced most of tho holders in our market to dispose of their lots, sub? mitting to a decline of from ^(??lc. on last week's quotations. Many holders have withdrawn their lots from thc market, and are not willing to accept the present offer? ing rate. The stock on ?ale continues very limited, and is only offered in small quantities. There- are quite a number of European orders in the market, but thc rate is limited, and as little good cotton is on sale, they cannot be filled tit presen1. Prices continue very irregular, but yester? day the following were the ruling rates, duty paid: Ordinary, nominal; low raid ?. diing, 44c; middling, 47c.: strict middling, viSc; good middling, 50c. In consequence of the limited stock placed on the market, the transactions in Sea Island have been very lip:ht. Prices aro very irregular, as most of the stock is of a very low grade, and the only inquiry is for the finer staple. The general range is from 85c.(r??1.25. For a very superior quality, a higher ligure lins been paid. The stock of this description of cotton placed on sale is very light, and comes te> market in small lots, the (Treater portion of which is badly prepared, for which there is no demand. Receipts since November 25-upland, r>,S72 bales; Sea Island, ISO; domestics, 7-1. Exports-upland, 7,310; Sea Island. 113: domestics, 124. On hand upland. 1.770; Sea Island, $73; domestics, 326. The market is almost bare of rice. The demand, however, is only moderate, and confined to the home trade. We quote Georgia and ('andina at 13\r?/?14c. per pound by the tierce. The money market is slightly changed, and the rates for gold are easier. It conti? nues scarce, and the demand is somewhat slight. Brokers are purchasing at47@17A, and selling at 49. Silver continues scarce, and prices very irregular. Coupons of the city continue in very fair demand. Time bills are without change -the banks and brokers not discounting to full extent. In foreign exchange, tho transactions are moderate. Brokers are doing a fair busi? ness in nnenrrent money. Notice.
