WASHINGTON, November 20.-The Presi?
dent has been advised by telegraph tkat
tbo Florida Convention has annulled the
Ordinance of Secession, abolished slavery,
declared no person incempetent to testify
as a witness on account of color in any
matter where a colored person is concern?
ed, repudiated the Confederate States
debt, amended the Constitution in other
respects, and adjourned.
Barning of Ship Harry of the West.
MOBILE, November 21.-The steamship
Mercedita arrived hero yesterday, and
brings Capt. Atwood and part of the crew
of the ship Harry of tho W est, hound from
New Orleans to Liverpool, which vessel
was burned at sea on the 12th inst., about
ono hundred milca from the South-west
Pass, having on board a cargo of throe
thousand thrco hundred and forty-three
bales of cotton. Thc cause of thc fire was I
unknown. Tho balance of the crow was
taken off by the British ship Ella.
